I am currently a Statistics Master's Student and Graduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley. Before coming to Berkeley, I graduated from USC with a degree in Economics and Statistics. I am interested in analyzing data revolving around the interaction between people and technology, especially digital media. Currently, my focus is on advanced statistical modeling and applications of machine learning. My previous classes include: advanced probability and statistics, statistical computing, geospatial analysis, and linear models.
After undergrad, I worked at PAAMCO Prisma, a fund of hedge funds as a senior analyst / developer for 3 years. I led R development for both internal portfolio analysis tools and software sold externally. In addition, I was involved throughout the data pipeline from building out ETLs to data visualizations and dashboards. I decided to go back to school to earn a higher degree in statistics for both professional growth and a stronger understanding of new machine learning/statistical analysis techniques, as they become more standard in industry.
When I have free time, I enjoy staying active by working out, playing basketball, or go hiking. To recharge, I'm always looking for new restaurants to try or movies to watch (always open to recommendations). I also enjoy occasionally playing video games like Overwatch, COD: Warzone, or Counter-Strike. Recently, I've gotten into photography and currently trying to find time to learn lightroom. I am also a big Lakers and Dodgers fan, so I'll always try to go to games when possible.
